Fayum Four Seasons

In the town of Fayum, Egypt, portraits in wax and pigments were painted of loved ones and incorporated into their mummy wrappings. These beautiful, evocative portraits are just as vibrant and life-like today as when they were painted 2,000 years ago. These are the inspiration for my Fayum Four Seasons portraits. The eternal cycle of the changing seasons echoes the eternal beauty of the original Fayum mummy portraits.
